Polish teen Zuzanna Wielgos wins gold and bronze at European Youth Table Tennis Championships

At the European Youth Table Tennis Championships in Cluj‑Napoca, Romania, Poland's Zuzanna Wielgos and partner Anna Brzyska captured the gold medal in the women's doubles, defeating the top‑seeded pair from Ukraine and Romania 3‑1. Wielgos also secured a bronze medal in the singles competition, finishing among the four best players after a semifinal loss to Romania's Bianca Mei Rosu.

Earlier in the season, Polish youngster Mateusz Zalewski reached the semifinals of the European U21 Championships, narrowly missing a medal after a close match with Britain's Conor Green. Domestically, the KS Gorce Nowy Targ club dominated the Polish National Championships, earning two golds in women's doubles and a bronze in singles through players Lilianna Pęksa and Maria Wszołek.

These results highlight a strong performance by Poland's youth table‑tennis program on both European and national stages.
