Polish television series see renewed interest and new premieres

Polish television productions are seeing significant movement across different platforms. The series ‘Tajemnica zawodowa’ (Professional Secret), starring Magdalena Różdżka and Cezary Pazura, has become a hit on HBO Max. Five years after its initial television premiere, the legal thriller and medical drama has reached the fourth position among the most-watched series on the platform. The story follows a lawyer who returns to her profession to defend her husband against criminal charges.

Meanwhile, the eight-episode series ‘Czas niedokonany’ (Uncompleted Time), based on the novel by Bronisław Wildstein, is set to premiere on TVP1 starting September 10. The production, which had faced a two-year delay, is a family saga that intertwines personal lives with key events in modern Polish history, spanning from the PRL era to the present day. The series is also available for streaming on TVP VOD.
