Polish tennis players Kaśnikowski and Kawa knocked out in early rounds of European events

Maks Kaśnikowski was eliminated in the qualifying round of the ATP 250 tournament in Båstad, Sweden, after a three‑set loss to Italy's fourth seed Francesco Passaro, 6‑1, 3‑6, 6‑3. The defeat ends Kaśnikowski's chance of reaching the main draw, leaving no Polish men in the singles competition.

Katarzyna Kawa, after a straight‑sets defeat (4‑6, 1‑6) to Switzerland's Simona Waltert in the WTA 125 event in Båstad, was drawn into the main draw of the WTA 250 tournament in Iași, Romania, where she will face a fellow Swiss player in the opening round. The draw places her among a field that includes top‑seeded Romanian Jaqueline Cristian and several other high‑ranked European players.
