Polish theatres announce upcoming dance and audiodescription performances

Various theatrical performances are scheduled across Poland. In Skarżysko-Kamienna, the Kielecki Teatr Tańca will present the dance theatre production ‘Urodziny’ (Birthdays) at the Municipal Cultural Center on September 23, 2026. Choreographed by Julia Dondziło and featuring artists from the CIHO ECHO Foundation, the performance is inspired by the fairy tale ‘The Princess is Being Born’ and explores themes of life, closeness, and universal values.

In Kraków, the Narodowy Stary Teatr is offering performances with audiodescription throughout September. The program includes ‘Mam coś w głębi nie do przedstawienia. Hamlet’, a contemporary take on Shakespeare directed by Remigiusz Brzyk, and ‘Zamknij oczy Nel. W pustyni i w puszczy – epilog’, directed by Piotr Domalewski, which provides a critical look at Henryk Sienkiewicz’s literary legacy.
