The Balkans are highlighted as the most practical option, with Croatia, Montenegro and Albania offering sea‑side resorts at rates as low as 370 zł per night for a couple. Families appreciate easy car access, flexible itineraries and the ability to avoid airport transfers. In Greece, islands such as Crete, Rhodes and Zakynthos also provide affordable accommodation, starting around 720 zł per night.

Experts note that self‑organized trips, off‑peak travel (early June or September) and the use of private apartments via platforms like Airbnb help Polish families cut holiday costs by up to 40 %. The trend reflects a broader move toward budget‑conscious European beach holidays in the 2024 season.
