Polish police boost road safety patrols for Boże Ciało long weekend

Ahead of the four‑day Boże Ciało holiday, police across Poland are intensifying traffic safety operations. Officers will increase patrols on major routes, conduct sobriety checks, enforce speed limits and verify that drivers and passengers use seat belts and child safety seats. Heavy‑vehicle traffic over 12 tons is prohibited during specific hours on 3–4 June.

Motorists are urged to travel rested and sober, adjust speed to road conditions, and avoid mobile‑phone use while driving. Cyclists and motorcyclists should wear helmets and protective clothing. Police also advise residents to secure homes before traveling, keep valuables out of sight, and avoid announcing trip details on social media. The coordinated effort aims to reduce accidents and ensure a safe holiday for the expected surge of travelers.
