Polish towns expand waste collection and recycling services

The Gmina of Milówka upgraded its selective waste collection point (PSZOK) with new containers, a vehicle‑scale weighing system, specialised storage for lithium‑ion batteries and hazardous materials, and a used‑items exchange area, using European Union funding to boost recycling rates.

In the city of Marki, the municipal office partnered with MB Recycling to offer free collection of large household electronic appliances, allowing residents to schedule pickups, while small e‑waste and batteries are placed in red bins for curbside collection. Both initiatives promote reuse and circular‑economy practices in their communities.
