Polish towns host summer half‑camps for over 300 children

In July 2026 the Oratorium Bł. Michała Rua organized summer half‑camps in Kutno, drawing 240 children for two weeks of activities that included daily meetings with caregivers, art and integration workshops, a preventive play, museum visits, LEGO robotics workshops, swimming trips, a religious mass and a raffle. The program was financed with 40,000 zł from the city of Kutno, 12,500 zł from the Gmina Kutno, and contributions from local sponsors such as Ozdowscy Piekarnia–Cukiernia, OSM Łowicz and the Fundacja Akademia Pomocy i Edukacji.

At the same time, more than 70 children took part in a similar two‑week half‑camp in Rudach. The schedule combined sports, crafts and local excursions, notably a visit to the historic narrow‑gauge railway station and workshops at a traditional forge. Participants prepared pizza in a wood‑fired oven, went on a bike ride to a nearby chapel, attended ecological lessons by the local forest district, and visited interactive exhibits at Funzeum. Financial support came from the Gmina Kuźnia Raciborska, the Powiat Raciborski and the Nadleśnictwo Rudy, while teachers and volunteers provided free supervision.
