Polish towns repurpose municipal facilities amid demolition and free‑container offers

The Sports and Recreation Centre in Przasnysz announced that four metal storage containers from the municipal stadium will be given away at no charge. Interested parties must handle complete dismantling, loading, transport and site clean‑up, and proposals are accepted until 29 June 2026.

In Sosnowiec, the 61‑year‑old Winter Stadium on Zamkowa Street is being demolished. The city has secured 8.6 million złoty to redevelop the 2.4‑hectare site with new green spaces, walking paths, lighting and small‑scale urban furnishings, creating a park‑like environment where the ice rink once stood.
