Polish TV shows Ranczo and Kocham Cię, Polsko! announce major casting changes

Veteran actor Daniel Olbrychski is set to take over the role formerly played by the late Franciszek Pieczka in the long‑running Polish series Ranczo. The decision, revealed by producer Maciej Strzembosz, has provoked a wave of criticism from fans who view Pieczka’s character as irreplaceable, while some viewers urge patience until the new season premieres in autumn.

Former national volleyball champion Łukasz Kadziewicz will join the popular TV quiz show Kocham Cię, Polsko! as a team captain, replacing departing participant Filip Gurłacz. The move follows Kadziewicz’s recent television work and his popularity on other TV programmes, and his appointment is expected to be confirmed when the new season airs in the fall of 2026.
