Polish U16 Athletics Championships held in Lublin

The PZLA U16 Polish Athletics Championships, also known as the Small Janusz Kusociński Memorial, took place in Lublin with approximately 1,200 young athletes competing across 37 disciplines. The event saw significant achievements from various clubs and regional associations.

Notable individual performances included Kacper Hutnik from Piasta Gliwice, who became the Polish champion in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.10 seconds, and Maksymilian Karkus, who secured a silver medal in the 100m sprint. Athletes from LKS Stal Mielec also saw success, with Maciej Kopera winning the U16 hammer throw title and Michał Gotfryd taking bronze.

Clubs from the LZS Association collectively earned 41 medals, including 11 golds. The championships also featured record-breaking performances, such as Roksana Gałka setting a new U16 Polish record in the 300m hurdles. Additionally, the Lekkoatletyczne Nadzieje Olimpijskie finals were held at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, providing a high-profile platform for young talent to compete in multi-event disciplines.
