Polish universities host interactive science weeks and workshops

Universities in Poland are hosting science-focused events designed to engage students and the public through hands-on experimentation and workshops.

The West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin is transforming its campus into a “science town.” The event features 11 different departments showcasing diverse fields such as robotics, renewable energy, microbiology, and architecture. Highlights include demonstrations of industrial robot arms, VR simulations of hangars and airports, a student-built Mars rover, and experiments involving liquid nitrogen and DNA isolation.

Simultaneously, the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) has launched its Science Week at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. Part of the “Meeting with Science 2” project, the program offers high school students specialized workshops in molecular biology, genetics, and biodiversity. Participants have engaged in laboratory work such as studying fungal spore micromorphology and performing thin-layer chromatography to isolate lipids.
