Polish universities launch new academic years amid shifting enrollment trends

Several Polish universities have commenced new academic years. The Academy of Applied Sciences in Konin (ANS) is entering its 29th year with a total of over 1,800 students. Rector Artur Zimny noted a significant resurgence of interest in pedagogy and physical education, potentially driven by upcoming generational gaps in primary education. Logistics and engineering programs also maintain high popularity, supported by funding from the Just Transition Fund.

Meanwhile, the Wroclaw University of Economics has launched its 80th anniversary academic year. The institution welcomed 4,300 new students, with a 6% increase in part-time enrollment compared to the previous year. During the inauguration, Professor Stefan Wrzosek was honored with the title of Honorary Professor of the Wroclaw University of Economics, and the inaugural lecture focused on the relationship between artificial intelligence and human intelligence.
