Polish universities receive NAWA grants for international language promotion
The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has awarded funding to several projects under its ‘Promotion of the Polish Language’ program, aimed at expanding international academic cooperation and linguistic reach.
The University of Szczecin has secured funding for initiatives in Argentina, Mexico, and Germany. In Argentina, the project involves the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and Universidad Católica de las Misiones, focusing on online courses and new didactic materials. In Mexico, the university will partner with the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo to develop bilingual audiovisual materials and promote Polish as a language of academic mobility.
Additionally, the University of Warsaw received grants for three distinct projects. These include promoting Polish culture in Kazakhstan through a partnership with Buketov Karaganda National Research University, exploring Warsaw as a cultural text in collaboration with Istanbul University, and establishing a Polish-Italian poetic translation laboratory with the University of Bologna.
