Polish Urbanists Association announces public space award winners

The Polish Urbanists Association has announced the winners of the 20th edition of the competition for the best-managed public space in Poland. The jury, which included representatives from the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and the Association of Polish Cities, evaluated 41 spaces across five categories, including revitalized urban spaces, waterfront areas, and green spaces.

Among the recipients are the cities of Bolesławiec, Piaseczno, Wrocław, Poznań, Tychy, Warsaw, and Kraków. The first prize in the revitalized urban public space category was awarded to the ceramic revitalization of the Old Town Market Square in Bolesławiec. The project was recognized for its harmonious integration of innovative functions into a historic setting, featuring cohesive displays and small architecture that enhances the city’s cultural heritage.
