Polish voices clash over anti‑Ukrainian accusations amid war discourse

The Kresowian Association in Kędzierzyn‑Koźle issued a statement urging President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ukrainians to abandon what it described as a "toxic ideology" of the OUN, condemning alleged Ukrainian war crimes against Poles during World II. The appeal calls for an end to hostility and references historical grievances.

Separately, journalist Julia Mendel, a former spokesperson for Zelenskyy, responded to accusations that she is a pro‑Russian troll. She detailed her experiences reporting on the conflict since 2014, criticized Zelenskyy's wartime policies, highlighted humanitarian and corruption concerns, and urged opponents of the war to take action on the front lines rather than merely censoring dissenting voices.
