Polish Volunteer Fire Brigades Expand into National Rescue System

In late July 2026, six volunteer fire brigades from the Kraków county area—including OSP Rzozów, OSP Igołomia‑Zofipole, OSP Wola Filipowska, OSP Giebułtów, OSP Narama and OSP Widoma—signed three‑way agreements with the Municipal Command of the State Fire Service (PSP) in Kraków to join the Krajowy System Ratowniczo‑Gaśniczy (KSRG). The ceremony, attended by Deputy City Fire Commander Brig. Damian Woszczyna and local municipal representatives, marked their integration into the national rescue and firefighting network, granting access to enhanced training, equipment and coordinated response capabilities.

A separate meeting on 29 July 2026 at the County Command of the State Fire Service in Ciechanów approved the inclusion of the OSP unit from Młock (gmina Ojrzeń). The trifold agreement, signed by County Fire Commander Brig. Tomasz Gajewski, Gmina Wójt Artur Delura and OSP Młock President Robert Marcysiak, confirmed that the brigade meets the organisational, equipment and training standards required for full participation in KSRG. Both actions are expected to improve emergency response times and safety for residents of the Kraków and Ciechanów regions.
