Polish volunteer fire brigades receive new rescue vehicles

Volunteer fire departments in the Masovian and Pomeranian regions of Poland inaugurated new rescue‑fire vehicles. In Szla, Przasnysz County, a lightweight fire‑rescue car costing about 552,000 zł was handed over in a ceremony attended by local officials, representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and regional authorities. The vehicle is expected to improve response times and safety for residents. In Łęczyce, the brigade received a newly named "Jacek" fire‑engine, a Volkswagen light operational car together with technical rescue equipment, funded through cooperation between the municipal council, the regional fire command and the Ministry of the Interior. Both events highlighted the joint effort of national and local administrations to modernise volunteer fire services.
