Polish Volunteer Firefighters Lead Rural Safety Trainings
In the Frampol municipality, a new generation of volunteer firefighters has been introduced, marking a renewal of local fire‑service personnel. Around the same time, the youth fire brigade of the Volunteer Fire Department in Kowalew‑Opactwo organized a "Safe Harvest" training for residents. The session covered fire‑risk prevention during the harvest season, proper emergency calling procedures, and basic first‑aid measures. Participants observed a minute of silence honoring the Warsaw Uprising fighters before completing a quiz to test their knowledge. The event was part of a national competition organized by the Chief of the State Fire Service to strengthen community resilience.
Both initiatives aim to raise awareness of fire safety in rural areas and involve young volunteers in public education, reinforcing local preparedness and honoring historical memory.
