Polish workers see record summer wages at home and in Germany

Polish employers are offering unusually high hourly rates for seasonal work in 2026. In hospitality, waitstaff can earn up to 150 zł net per hour thanks to tips, while construction workers receive 39‑75 zł net per hour and logistics staff 32‑50 zł. Many firms add benefits such as free accommodation, meals or end‑of‑season bonuses, and a tax relief for workers under 26 makes domestic jobs competitive with jobs abroad.

At the same time a German construction firm posted an offer for Polish foremen in Frankfurt, promising a gross monthly salary of 21 000 zł. The role requires German at B1 level, a category‑B driving licence and at least six months of similar experience, but does not include housing or meals. The employer intends to hire ten workers on fixed‑term contracts starting immediately.
