Polish Youth Firefighting Teams honored for community safety efforts
Youth Firefighting Teams from across Poland have been recognized in the national competition ‘Building Social Resilience Systems’. Organized by the Commander-in-Chief of the State Fire Service, the initiative rewards teams for their efforts in improving regional safety through education and prevention.
Participants developed projects focused on first aid, home safety, blackout preparedness, and civil defense principles. These efforts included workshops, lectures, and information campaigns designed to increase community awareness of potential threats and emergency response.
In the Kraków region, teams from Białego Kościoła, Marszowic, Mogilan, and Głęboka were honored. Meanwhile, the Łódź Voivodeship emerged as a national leader, with 18 teams from the Łowicz district alone receiving awards. The ceremony in Kraków was attended by high-ranking officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Secretary of State Wiesław Leśniakiewicz.
