Polish youth handball and basketball squads begin summer training camps

The Polish Handball Federation has named its junior national team, born in 2008 and later, for a series of training actions in July and August 2026. The schedule includes a camp in Szczyrk (15‑26 July), international matches against Israel in Szczyrk (22‑23 July), a further session in Pruszków (27‑28 July) and preparation for the U‑18 European Championship in Belgrade, Serbia (29 July‑9 August). A full roster of 30 players and a coaching staff with head coach Wojciech Jedziniak and assistants is listed.

Separately, a provincial women’s junior basketball camp called “Młodzik” will be held in Strumień from 10‑19 July 2026. Twenty‑four girls born in 2013‑14 from clubs such as RMKS Rybnik, Minibasketball Racibórz and KKS Tarnowskie Góry will train under coach Adam Kubaszczyk. Participants must bring medical documents, school IDs and equipment, and a mandatory fee of 800 zł is required.

Both initiatives aim to develop young talent ahead of upcoming national and international competitions.
