Polish youth lose faith in objective truth and look to parents for guidance, research shows

Studies of Generation Z and Alpha raised on TikTok and Instagram found that Polish teenagers increasingly doubt the existence of objective truth, judging information by likes, shares and group approval rather than source credibility. Heavy social‑media users were also more likely to believe fake news.

Separate research shows that despite this skepticism, parents remain the most trusted authority for Polish youth, with 71% preferring parental advice over influencers. The same surveys reveal strong saving habits, with 79% trying to set aside money, and a fear of being perceived as average. Most respondents view Poland as a successful country and believe other nations could learn from its achievements.
