Polish Złoty strengthens against major global currencies

The Polish złoty has shown continued strength against major global currencies. According to data from the National Bank of Poland for mid-October 2026, the złoty appreciated significantly against the US dollar, euro, Swiss franc, and British pound.

The Swiss franc experienced the largest decline against the złoty, dropping below the 4.70 PLN level. The US dollar also saw a notable decrease, moving further away from the 4 PLN threshold. The euro and British pound also recorded decreases in value relative to the złoty.

As of October 15, 2026, the euro was trading at approximately 4.3688 PLN.
