Politehnica Timișoara caps training camp with 4-3 win over Al‑Faisaly

Politehnica Timișoara concluded its summer training camp with a 4‑3 comeback victory against Saudi Arabian side Al‑Faisaly. After falling 2‑0 early in the match in Beltinci, Slovenia, the Romanian club overturned the deficit through goals from Stephan Drăghici, Aurelian Chițu, Fabian Marincu and Mihai Dolghi.

The camp, held from 14‑24 July in Mönichkirchen, Austria, also featured a 1‑0 win over Italian Serie A club Lecce, a 0‑0 draw with Al‑Shabab and a 0‑1 loss to Al‑Riyadh. Coach Dan Alexa praised the team's attitude and fitness, noting the good conditions and strong opposition. He urged the squad to maintain intensity as they return home to prepare for the Liga 2 season, with their opening league fixture against Chindia scheduled for 4 August at the Electrica stadium.
