Poli Timișoara bolsters staff and signs midfielders as goalkeeper transfer talks continue
Poli Timișoara, newly promoted to Romania's Liga 2, is strengthening its organization ahead of a push for promotion to the Superliga. The club is in advanced talks to bring former CSM Reșița president Cristian Bobar into its staff, likely to handle relations with the Romanian Football Federation.
The team also completed the signing of midfielder Andrei Artean, a 32‑year‑old former junior of the club who returned from Universitatea Cluj eager to help Poli reach the top division. Artean expressed enthusiasm about rejoining his hometown side and contributing to the promotion project.
Separately, Romanian goalkeeper Andrei Vlad, who became a free agent after a brief stint with Poland's Arka Gdynia, is in negotiations with Turkish Süper Lig side Gaziantep. Gaziantep, coached by Mirel Rădoi, also explored a move for goalkeeper Ștefan Târnovanu but cited insufficient funds. Rădoi confirmed interest in Vlad despite financial constraints at his former club FCSB.
