Politehnica Universities in Romania hold anniversary and smart city events

Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara is celebrating its 106th anniversary with the “106 pentru Poli” event. Scheduled for October 27, 2026, at the Știința Stadium, the tradition involves the university community—including students, faculty, staff, and alumni—running 106 laps of the track to mark the institution's age.

In Bucharest, the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA (UNSTPB) partnered with several national associations, including the National Union of County Councils in Romania and the Association of Romanian Municipalities, to host the second edition of “Smart City Highlights.” Held on October 7, 2026, the event featured workshops, conference panels, and an exhibition area with companies such as Dell and Glovo to discuss community development and urban technology.
