PSOE ratifies candidate lists for Spanish general elections

The PSOE Federal Committee has ratified the candidate lists for the upcoming general elections on November 29. The decisions have sparked internal tension in several provinces due to changes made by the central leadership, often overriding local party proposals.

In Lugo, Patricia Otero will lead the list for the Congress, while César Mogo will head the Senate candidacy. In Valencia, the incorporation of Jordi Mayor to the Senate list has caused friction between the regional leadership and provincial sectors. In Castilla y León, changes in Palencia and Burgos have led to accusations from local militants that the central leadership has ignored their preferences.

In Castilla-La Mancha, the leadership imposed changes in Albacete and Guadalajara, replacing local candidates with figures such as Amparo Torres and María Jesús Merino. Despite these discrepancies, the party is moving forward with its finalized lists for the Congress and Senate.
