Political alliances strengthen in Grande ABC for state and federal elections

Political mobilization is intensifying in the Grande ABC region of São Paulo as candidates for state and federal offices seek to consolidate support among local councilors.

Luiz Zacarias (Podemos) recently held a mobilization event in Santo André, supported by Federal Deputy Alex Manente (Cidadania). The meeting, attended by approximately 300 people, aimed to strengthen regional representation in both the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (ALESP) and the Federal Chamber.

In a separate trend, Orlando Morando (MDB) and Carla Morando (PSD) have secured the highest number of endorsements among the region's 150 councilors, with 28 supporters. Notably, their support is concentrated outside of São Bernardo, where political rivalries with current Mayor Marcelo Lima (Podemos) have limited their local influence. Meanwhile, Paulo Serra and Ana Carolina Serra (PSDB) follow with 18 endorsements, maintaining a strong presence in Santo André.
