Political developments in Minas Gerais involve PCO candidacy denials and Flávio Bolsonaro campaign

In Minas Gerais, the Regional Electoral Court (TRE-MG) has denied the registration of all candidacies for the Partido da Causa Operária (PCO). The affected candidates include Henrique Áreas for Governor, Tião Pessoa for Senate, two candidates for the Chamber of Deputies, and two for the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais. The party's DRAP (Demonstrativo de Regularidade de Atos Partidários) was also rejected.

Henrique Áreas has contested the decision, labeling it “political persecution” and “undemocratic,” claiming the measure is based on bureaucratic motivations. The party has filed appeals and is awaiting analysis from a higher instance.

Separately, presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro conducted a motociata in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. The event included a visit to the location where his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, was the victim of a knife attack eight years ago. Flávio Bolsonaro stated the visit was intended to symbolize overcoming past trauma and to engage supporters ahead of the first round of elections.
