In Peru, civil society organizations in Ayacucho and Lambayeque have raised concerns regarding the upcoming regional and municipal elections. Representatives from groups such as ADOCIL and the Mesa de Concertación para la Lucha contra la Pobreza criticize candidates for prioritizing media spectacle and expensive advertising over technical development plans. They noted a lack of alignment with regional development goals and expressed alarm over candidates' judicial histories, including records of corruption and domestic violence.

In Mexico, the Morena party has appointed Santiago Nieto Castillo as the State Coordinator of the Defense of Transformation in Querétaro.
