Political endorsements and party invitations emerge in Dominican Republic and Chile

In the Dominican Republic, David Collado’s presidential aspirations within the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) have gained momentum following the endorsement of Eduardo Sanz Lovatón. This support includes a significant political structure consisting of 29 deputies, four senators, and several mayors across various provinces, including Santo Domingo Este and San Francisco de Macorís.

In Chile, Partido de la Gente (PDG) leader Franco Parisi met with Santiago Mayor Mario Desbordes to discuss security plans and extend an invitation for Desbordes to join the political party. While Parisi expressed interest in a future alliance to bolster Desbordes’ support for the 2028 municipal elections, Desbordes declined the formal invitation, stating that he remains an independent, though he considers himself a friend of the PDG.
