Political figures campaign in Georgia ahead of midterm elections

High-profile political figures are campaigning across Georgia as the state enters the final stretch of midterm elections. The contests include a race for governor and the reelection of Democratic U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff.

In middle Georgia, Donald Trump appeared alongside Republican candidates Mike Collins, who is challenging Ossoff, and gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson at a rally in Perry. Other Republican congressional candidates, including John Cowan, Jim Kingston, and Houston Gaines, also participated in regional campaigning.

On the Democratic side, Jon Ossoff campaigned with Pete Buttigieg in Atlanta. Democratic gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms held a campaign event in Savannah. Upcoming events include a rally in Atlanta featuring Barack Obama with Ossoff and Bottoms, followed by a scheduled appearance by Kamala Harris.
