Political figures celebrate birthdays of Mahmoud Alfa and Pope Leo XIV

Separately, Prince Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate for Nigeria’s Social Democratic Party (SDP), congratulated Pope Leo XIV on his 71st birthday. Adebayo commended the Pontiff’s advocacy for peace, human dignity, and solidarity, noting the importance of the Pope’s message in addressing global issues such as terrorism, poverty, and inequality, particularly regarding the developmental challenges faced by Africa.
