Political figures resign from REKONSILYE and PASTEF

Beckenbauer Renard has resigned as a founding member of the Haitian political party REKONSILYE. In a letter addressed to the party leadership dated September 11, 2026, Renard cited personal reasons for the immediate departure. The resignation occurs as REKONSILYE organizes for upcoming elections, following the recent selection of Gary Bodeau as the party's presidential candidate.

In Senegal, Abdourahim Kébé has announced his departure from the PASTEF party and his withdrawal from partisan politics. Kébé, a retired military officer and former vice-president in charge of defense and security, resigned from all responsibilities, including his roles within the Executive Committee, the National Congress, and his supervision of party coordinations in Turkey and Russia. Kébé, who joined PASTEF in 2020, stated he is leaving for personal reasons and has not indicated an intention to join another political group.
