Bolivia, Argentina, and US face significant political and social challenges

In Bolivia, the Organization of American States (OAS) has called for consensus on reforms, warning that various demands do not justify ongoing road blockades. Meanwhile, the Bolivian government has submitted a bill to the Legislative Assembly for a $1.9 billion credit from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In Argentina, the Observatorio de Política Criminal reported that suicide rates reached a historic high in 2025, with 5,209 deaths recorded. This represents a 22.6% increase from 2024, making it the leading cause of death among adolescents and young adults (ages 15 to 34), surpassing traffic accidents.

In the United States, the federal debt has surpassed $40 trillion, reaching 124% of the nation's GDP. The debt has doubled in less than a decade, increasing from approximately $19.95 trillion in early 2017 to over $40 trillion by August 2026, forcing the government to borrow funds to cover interest payments.
