Political leadership changes reported in Uşak and Van

In Uşak, the Yeni Parti provincial organization has issued a statement criticizing Deputy Mayor Hatice Terekeci Özkan following recent administrative changes. The party expressed disapproval of Özkan’s decision to favor bureaucratic and technical staff, which led to the resignation of municipal council members Reyhan Aydın, Devrim Alkan, and independent member Çağlar Samancı. The Yeni Parti leadership emphasized that while the decision rests with Özkan, the support of the party base and council members should not be ignored.

In Van, the AK Parti provincial presidency has overhauled its executive board. A significant change includes the replacement of Aslan Yılmaz as Head of Organization with Abdurrahman Eren, a former MÜSİAD Van Branch President. Additionally, Kerem Baynal, a former municipal council member, has been appointed as Deputy Provincial Chairman for Political and Legal Affairs. The party described these revisions as a strategic move to strengthen ties with NGOs and the business community while maintaining continuity through several returning members.
