Political organizations seek recognition for 2028 elections

Forty political organizations, including 29 political parties and 11 local movements, have requested formal recognition from the Central Electoral Board (JCE) in preparation for the 2028 elections.

The new applicants include the Avancemos party, led by former PLD leader Carlos Amarante Baret, alongside several other groups such as the Dominican Community Party and the Dominican Party for Parity and Reform. The local movement requests include groups like Movimiento Contigo Seremos Mejores and Frente Unido Francomacorisano.
