Political parties in Spain demand infrastructure improvements
In Granada, the PSOE has called on the Junta de Andalucía to open the metro underground parking lot on Camino de Ronda. The facility, which contains over 800 spaces, has remained closed for more than eight years since the completion of metropolitan works. Raquel Ruz, the Socialist Municipal Group spokesperson, criticized previous and current regional government management, suggesting the project be included in the 2027 budgets or released for concession to improve local mobility.
In Ourense, the PP has requested the provisional closure and sealing of a pedestrian tunnel at the intermodal station due to severe deterioration. Spokesperson Ana Méndez cited issues including accumulated waste, water leaks, lack of lighting following electrical theft, and unsanitary conditions. The party noted that the tunnel is being used by homeless individuals and demanded that the City Council deploy social and health services to provide alternatives for those affected before any closure takes place.
