Political polls show Machado leading in Venezuela and Orsi facing low approval in Uruguay

In Venezuela, María Corina Machado holds a significant lead in presidential election intentions, according to an AtlasIntel poll conducted for Bloomberg News. Machado received 52% support, while acting president Delcy Rodríguez garnered 19%. Businessman Lorenzo Mendoza placed third with 8%. These figures emerge as a new round of negotiations between the interim government and a sector of the opposition begins in Caracas, aimed at establishing a roadmap for future elections.

In Uruguay, recent polling by Cifra indicates a 57% disapproval rating for President Yamandú Orsi's administration. His approval stands at 24%, with 13% of respondents remaining neutral. The data shows a sharp divide along partisan lines: 50% of Frente Amplio voters approve of his management, compared to only 17% of opposition voters. While personal sympathy for Orsi (41%) is higher than his administrative approval, his rating has seen a downward trend since mid-2025.
