Political resignations reported in Karaburun and Uşak

Karaburun Mayor İlkay Girgin Erdoğan has resigned from the Yeni Parti, citing internal conflicts and mismanagement. Erdoğan stated that the decision followed a confrontation with Deputy Provincial Chair Gülden Aslı Değirmenci during a provincial chairmanship election. Erdoğan criticized the party leadership, including General Chairman Özgür Özel and Provincial Chair Çağatay Güç, alleging a discrepancy between political rhetoric and actual practice, as well as a lack of meritocracy within the organization.

In Uşak, Devrim Alkan has stepped down from his position as Deputy Mayor. Alkan, who also serves as a Yeni Parti municipal council member, addressed various allegations regarding zoning issues and commercial ties to the municipality. He denied claims of personal gain through zoning commissions and stated that he holds no shares or signing authority in companies doing business with the municipality, emphasizing that his resignation was based on principle rather than office.
