Political scientists debate the future of Western values and Europe

Political scientists Daniel Marwecki and Jana Puglierin are set to discuss the future of Western values and the stability of Europe. The discussion addresses whether the Western community of values—including the rule of law, separation of powers, and equal rights—remains intact, particularly in light of shifts in the United States.

Marwecki, representing an international perspective from the University of Hong Kong, argues for the acceptance of a multipolar world order and the political management of declining hegemony. Conversely, Puglierin, head of the Berlin office for the European Council on Foreign Relations, advocates for increased military efforts to preserve and defend Western values within Europe.
