Croatia political polls show declining support for major parties
The latest Crobarometar polling results for October reveal a decline in support for Croatia’s leading political parties. The ruling HDZ saw its support drop to 25.5%, while the SDP fell to 17%. In contrast, the Možemo! and Most parties are experiencing growth, with Možemo! reaching 13.7% and Most rising to 10.1%.
Regarding institutional approval, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković’s government is disapproved by 61% of respondents, while President Zoran Milanović maintains a higher approval rating of 46%. Citizens identified corruption (63%) and inflation (61%) as the most significant national problems, followed by low wages and living standards (54%).
Separately, the recent electoral defeat of Aleksandar Vučić in Serbia has sparked debate in Croatia regarding future bilateral relations. While some political figures view the shift as a positive development for regional stability, others remain cautious about how the new Serbian administration will handle historical legacies and relations with Zagreb.
