Serbia: SPP secures parliamentary seat after repeat voting

The Party of Justice and Reconciliation (SPP), led by Usama Zukorlić, has secured a parliamentary mandate in the National Assembly of Serbia following repeat voting at several polling stations. According to party leader Usama Zukorlić, the list obtained more than 300 votes at the repeat locations, which was sufficient to cross the threshold required for entry into parliament.

The non-governmental organization CRTA reported that the repeat voting resulted in a change in the distribution of mandates compared to previous projections. While the SPP successfully entered parliament, the Studentska Lista is expected to have one fewer mandate. CRTA observers noted individual instances of voter influence during the repeat voting process, including allegations of vote buying, the maintenance of parallel voter records, and the presence of third parties at polling stations.

In Novas Pazar, preliminary results from a repeat vote showed Rasim Ljajić and his list receiving 214 votes, narrowly surpassing the SDA Sandžaka list, which received 210 votes.
