Political super PACs shift advertising spending in key battleground races

Political action committees are shifting advertising expenditures across several key battleground districts as election cycles progress.

The Senate Majority PAC redirected nearly $7 million toward Democratic Senate nominees in Michigan and Maine. This move followed a reduction in spending in North Carolina and Georgia, where Democratic candidates currently hold significant polling leads. The reallocation includes $3.7 million for Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan and $3 million for Troy Jackson in Maine.

Simultaneously, Republican and MAGA Inc.-aligned super PACs, including the Congressional Leadership Fund and No Going Back PAC Inc., have paused scheduled television advertisements targeting Democratic Representative Tom Suozzi in New York’s 3rd Congressional District. While these groups had previously reserved over $11 million for ads in the New York media market to support Michael LiPetri, recent tracking indicates a halt in broadcast and cable bookings targeting Suozzi.
