Political tensions rise in Chile and Venezuela

In Chile, a political dispute has emerged between Magdalena Piñera and the Manouchehri family. Magdalena Piñera criticized the presence of certain figures in Congress, specifically stating, “I do not want Congress to be full of Manouchehris,” suggesting they do not have genuine political admiration despite social media presence. In response, the Mayor of Coquimbo, brother of Deputy Daniel Manouchehri, accused Piñera of needing to focus more on corruption and theft rather than the Manouchehris. The Mayor defended his family's electoral record in the Coquimbo Region, citing high vote counts and honest work.

In Venezuela, political leader Francisco Arias Cárdenas expressed concern regarding the country's political climate. During an interview, the former governor of Zulia stated he fears that he or his children might be blamed in the future for the country's deterioration. Arias Cárdenas emphasized the necessity of “dismantling the hatred and rage” within the nation to promote peace, reconciliation, and coexistence among Venezuelans.
