Andrea Putzu criticizes political response to reconstruction investigation

Andrea Putzu, the leader of the Fratelli d’Italia group in the Marche Regional Council, has accused the Democratic Party of political double standards regarding an ongoing investigation into reconstruction efforts.

Putzu argued that while the left advocates for the presumption of innocence for their own investigated officials, they are calling for the resignation of Regional President Francesco Acquaroli. Putzu emphasized that Acquaroli is neither involved nor under investigation, and that the political pressure stems from the alleged conduct of a former collaborator. He called for the judicial process to proceed without political interference or instrumentalization, stressing that citizens deserve transparency regarding the use of funds intended for earthquake-stricken territories.
