Political activity is intensifying in Sicily as Pietro Bartolo, representing Casa Riformista, has launched his candidacy for the regional presidency. Bartolo, a former MEP, has expressed openness to participating in primaries to find a unified candidate for the reformist area to challenge the center-right coalition.

In the province of Siracusa, tensions are rising within the center-right coalition. Vincenzo Vinciullo, provincial commissioner of Grande Sicilia, has publicly criticized Fratelli d’Italia deputy Luca Cannata, urging an end to divisive rhetoric and a focus on coalition building.
