Polizeiruf 110 explores forced prostitution in Rostock
The new episode of the crime series ‘Polizeiruf 110 – Sie haben Namen’ depicts the harsh realities of forced prostitution and human trafficking in Rostock. The plot follows the investigation of detectives Katrin König and Melly Böwe after a young woman, later identified as Anna, is found dead in the water.
Before her murder, the victim was reportedly tortured and bore a ‘pimp stamp’ tattoo featuring a stylized barcode and a 2,000-euro price tag. The narrative also follows Natasha, a woman who survived early abuse only to eventually become a ‘madame’ at the Golden Cherries Club, where she manages young women under the control of a pimp.
