Polizia di Stato adopts new service housing assignment rules

The Department of Public Security has introduced new operational guidelines regarding the temporary assignment of service housing linked to official duties. These measures aim to standardize, increase transparency, and ensure consistency within the current organizational structure of the State Police.

The new provisions apply to procedures initiated following the issuance of the circular. They specifically address the residual assignment of housing not intended for holders of management positions defined by Ministerial Decree no. 155/2015. The primary goal is to facilitate personnel mobility and operational readiness, particularly for those in leadership roles, in response to the organizational needs of territorial police units.

Priority for housing remains with holders of management positions listed in the official decree. However, unassigned housing may be temporarily allocated to personnel transferred by official order or those in their first assignment. For territorial investigative offices, the guidelines establish a functional and hierarchical priority involving deputy leaders of various specialized units, such as the Squadre Mobili, DIGOS, and SISCO.
